First baby photoshoot in London: what to expect and how to prepare
Booking a first photoshoot with your baby? Here is what to expect, how to prepare, and how a relaxed session works.
How old does my baby need to be for a photoshoot?
Babies from two months are welcome. At that age they are often calmer and starting to react to the world around them, which makes for lovely, natural photos.
How long does a baby photoshoot take?
Plan for a relaxed session with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and breaks. There is no rush, and we work around your baby's mood rather than the clock.
How should I prepare?
Feed your baby shortly before you arrive, bring a spare outfit and anything that comforts them, and choose soft, simple clothes in calm colours. Parents are welcome in the photos too, so dress for the family shots as well.
Where does the session take place?
Sessions take place at my studio in Stratford, East London, right next to Westfield, or outdoors anywhere in London.
What if my baby cries?
That is completely normal. We pause, feed, cuddle and start again. I guide you throughout, so there are no stiff poses and no pressure.
When will we get the photos?
Your edited gallery is ready within five working days, in a private online gallery where you choose your favourites.
How much does it cost?
Studio sessions are £250. Extra images are £20 each. See the Photoshoots page for all options.
